Anyway, the last show was great! Reagan's classmates were there. Reagan threw some new twists and turns into the finally show for Julie, such as eating the breakfast rolls, really dropping the chair on her foot (I saw poor Julie wince in pain), and spitting on Julie's hand. Ah, poor Julie taking the brunt of Reagan's improving. Reagan didn't have time after the show to say good bye to everyone and have it set it that the show was over because ACC called and Alex was sick. So we had to hurry and pick him up, he had a fever of 103.2 by the time we arrived home. She was very disappointed because she didn't get to have her special lunch to celebrate with us. It may be have been a blessing that she didn't get to sit around and say good bye, as I am sure some tears would have been shed. If you want to see all the hundreds of pictures I took go to http://picasaweb.google.com/Belhorn5/TheMiracleWorker#.
So, the day after the Miracle Worker, Reagan broke her arm! Can you believe this? Two broken arms in 3 months. Reagan was upstairs in her room, in her closet looking for something and she turned to walk out, tripped on something, fell down and broke her arm. We thought she was faking it or using it to get attention because she was complain that Alex had all the attention, since he was sick. However, when I realized it hurt her to do the basic movements that the doctor did with Alex, we decided it was time to take her to the ER. Sure enough she had a broken arm. It's called a buckle fracture, which means the bone isn't actually broken, it is more bent. They put her in a splint for the time being, but she received a full arm cast on the 28th though.
After TMW, the kids had two snow days and got to stay home. So, life was still not normal for Lindey and I. Today feels like the first day it was normal, just in time for the weekend to creep up again! Lindey does not nap well when the other two kids are home. Today, however, she has been asleep since 11:30 am, waking up to eat and then going back to sleep. She's still asleep at 3:30 pm! It's a miracle!! She gave me some time to finally work from home.
My boss has been so flexible! She is letting me work most of my hours from home. The deal for me to go back to work was to reduce my hours to 10 a week with 4 hours once a week in the office and the rest from home and minimal travel. She said that was fine. I was a little disappointed, if she said no I would have just quit, but dog on it, she meet my demands! :) Greg is staying home with Lindey for half a day on Monday's when I go to the office. I still am not sure how it is working out to work from home. I am trying. It is so difficult though because I see everything that needs to be done while I am sitting and working. I hope to find a good balance soon.
So, I have mentioned everyone except Alex. I think the poor guy is out of sorts. His sisters have all kinds of attention and he has been going with the flow. He is starting to act up, hitting and talking back more than normal. I think it may be his attempt to get some attention. We may need to come up with some Alex time quickly so he doesn't' stay on his downward spiral. He's such a good kid though.
Happy Chinese New Year! (Reagan studied China this week in school, so I know it's the New Year!)
